Markus Zohner Arts Company is proud to present the new performance INFRARED RIDING HOOD (CAPPUCCETTO INFRAROSSO).
A theatrical and musical performance, radiophonic and absurd, with two opera singers, with a brutal painter, with stellar actors, with a wandering viloncello player amd with a composer out of his mind, with touching words and with a wolf which is a bit too sensitive.
Marvelous voices, notes falling from an arc, poetry unleashing colours, and words painting themselves with colours.

INFRARED RIDING HOOD
A performance like we have never done before. A performance which never will exist again.
Dramaturgy has fled us, it just flew away, it stepped up to other levels: where is dramaturgy in the lives of everyone of us? Yes, we know about the end. It will ever be happy. And for the rest? An infinite comedy, with beginnings, with ends, with tears and laughter, with cheating, killing, seduction, smiles, brutality, with conscious, subconscious and unconscious intentions.
INFRARED RIDING HOOD
Fairy tales do not exist. The best way to make you obey is to make you believe in a fairy tale.
For making you believe in a story, the simplest trick is to make you fear.
Once you are afraid, everyone can hold you in his hands.
Fear is the contrary of freedom. Fear of ilness. Fear of the dark. Fear of death. Fear of whom might want to harm you.
Sending a little girl alone into a dark forest is serious. Eating up a little undefended girl is even more serious. But making become the whole world a single dark forest full of wolves is much, much more serious.
Fear. Of. The Wolf.
INFRARED RIDING HOOD
Stories, media, religion, politics, economy. They all are telling us stories, for vaccinating us with their content, for administering us their theories and, over all, for making us believe in the significance they are giving to everything: life according to the Gospel called Economy, reality according to the Gospel called media, death in the sense of the Gospel according to John. Everybody making us believe their stories, their dramaturgy. For succeeding in making us believe, they use the most simple and banal trick: making us fear.
Fear. Of. The Wolf.
INFRARED RIDING HOOD
But: do not rock yourself in certainty that the story is as simple as they are telling you. Every story has as many viewpoints of truth as it has persons who are listening to it. What is said, is said by you, spectator.
Which story is simple?
Where is clearness?
What is a story, beyond the story?
The invisible of Red Riding Hood: thermal radiation, observed in the elctromagnetic band with a frequency lower than red.
